Humans being the most evolved and thinking of all creatures bear a special responsibility towards their fellow living beings. Killing animals for sheer greed, be it for food, clothing, or cosmetics is a crime against nature. Every creature in life has a special role to play, while man may be evolved in taking care of self, growing food and fending for self, animals have their own place in this world and their gifts are as important for the world’s survival as are any human’s. We must respect that.

Vegan lifestyle is against cruelty of any kind to animals. It is against exploitation of animals for their bodies. We kill animals indiscriminately for their flesh skin and bones, we take away the food meant for their children and sometimes we also take away their children for our food. It is a most inhuman existence if continue in the pattern of behavior.

What is required is more awareness about the unethical treatment of animals for their direct and indirect products. There is a huge industry around animal farming that propagates the myth of happy animals while they are incarcerated for their milk or being led to slaughter.
